IRAN REJECTS ANY EFFORT TO DESTABILISE PAKISTAN, SAYS ENVOY

Iran reject

Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammad Ali Hosseini said on Friday that the friendly and brotherly relations between two countries implied that Iran interpreted the security of Pakistan as its own security and strongly condemned and rejected any effort to destabilise this country.

Responding to a media query about ganglord Uzair Baluch and his dubious assertion on Iranian intelligence request, Hosseini clarified that the background of Iran's regional activities indicated that Tehran had always played a positive role in producing, protecting and assuring regional security.

“This role has also been applied for countering with destabilising and insecuring elements through suppressing terrorist groups,” the ambassador said in a statement. “Iran has defined and arranged its relationship with Pakistan in accordance with mutual respect and mutual benefits,” he added.

“The friendly and brotherly lasting relations between the two countries imply that Iran interpret the security of Pakistan as its own security and strongly condemns and rejects any effort to destabilise this country,” he continued.

“As repeatedly mentioned in high military and security bilateral meetings, Iran has ultimate readiness to cooperate with their Pakistani brothers for eliminating any security threat in common borders,” the statement said.

“Tehran emphasizes on essential and urgent need of removing any possible misunderstanding which mainly happens due to the deceptive and malicious efforts of third parties. For sure, developing relations between Tehran and Islamabad don't comply with their desire.”
