“Coronavirus: Impact is going to be there”

Bhutan announced its first novel coronavirus case on March 6. The country has now imposed a two-week restriction on all incoming tourists.

The global coronavirus outbreak is expected to deal a major blow to the country’s tourism industry, the second highest source of national revenue.

SAM’s Gopilal Archarya sat down with the Director General of the Tourism Council of Bhutan, Mr. Dorji Dhradhul, to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on Bhutan’s tourism sector.
